The Fully Engaged Leader:
Managing Energy for Success

Session 1 (9:00am – 10:30am CST)

Energy vs. Time: Leaving the Ordinary Behind

In today’s marketplace, time management has become the most accepted practice in the pursuit of organizational and personal success. Yet time itself is finite, and all too often leaders—despite their long hours—are drained of the vital energy that sustains true success. Managing energy instead of time is the most important factor in your mission of success. The key is developing greater resilience and flexibility in the face of non-stop stress. Moving from ordinary to extraordinary requires the investment of your fullest and best energy, right here, right now. In this valuable first session, you will:

  • Identify and process the fundamental currency of your business—your energy
  • Address the four dimensions of energy
  • Take away proven, actionable energy management principles
  • Learn about the importance of storytelling for your mission’s success
  • Walk through a personal energy assessment

Nourishing Your Purpose

Since energy is such an all-encompassing measure of human effort, it comes as no surprise that nutrition plays an important role in full engagement. Understanding and managing your food intake and facing the many barriers that exist in your everyday life are crucial steps in the investment and development of your energy. In this session, you will:

  • Learn how nutrition affects energy levels, mood, and performance
  • Discover strategic eating guidelines
  • Define your ultimate mission

Lunch (12:30pm-1:30pm CST)

Session 3 (1:30 – 3:00pm CST)

Movement for the Fully Engaged

Once you’ve implemented a system of nourishment and discipline, you will be able to focus on effective growth. Learning how to approach and create movement from the energy you generate will prepare you to not only take yourself to the next level of performance, but will help you fight self-deception and model truth to those that work with and for you. In this session, you’ll:

  • Learn the value of moving strategically
  • Discover the different kinds of effective “movement” training
  • Identify specific barriers to full engagement
  • Take a life engagement audit and full engagement inventory
  • Develop your own storytelling

Session 4 (3:15pm – 4:45pm CST)

The Call to Action

The lasting success of positive energy management practices hinges on rituals. Simply understanding the time vs. energy dilemma, learning how to nourish your body and mind, confronting your barriers, and catalyzing movement are not enough on their own—purposeful repetition is what gives your energy meaning, context, and longevity. In this final call to action, you will:

  • Discern the keys to building rituals
  • Construct a personal development plan and accountability log
  • Identify with important coaching and support systems for future growth
